What is ESLS?

Launched on September 4, 2023, the Enhanced Supplementary Labour Scheme (ESLS) allows employers to import workers for 26 job categories that were previously restricted. By end of 2025, approximately 60,000 applications were approved.

Employer Requirements

• Complete 4-week local recruitment process
• 2:1 local-to-imported worker ratio
• Provide accommodation for imported workers
• Pay at least median wage for the position

Worker Requirements

• Age 18-55
• Good health (medical report required)
• No criminal record
• Relevant skills/experience as required
